Emmy Awards 2021 i vincitori: The Crown”, “Ted Lasso” e “Mareof Easttown” hanno portato a casa ben 10 dei 12 premi per la recitazione durante la 73a edizione degli Emmy Awards, condotti da Cedric the Entertainer.
“Ted Lasso” di Apple TV Plus e “Mare ofEasttown” di HBO hanno vinto i primi premi della serata, ciascuno vincendo la coppia di premi per gli attori non protagonisti rispettivamente per una commedia e una serie limitata.
Jason Sudeikis è stato nominato attore protagonista eccezionale in una commedia per il suo ruolo di allenatore di calcio sensibile in “Ted Lasso”, mentre Kate Winslet ha vinto come attrice protagonista in una serie limitata per il suo ruolo di sergente investigativo in “Mare”.
“The Crown” ha dominato la notte, ritirando il premio come Migliorserie drammatica, oltre ai premi per la miglior attrice (Olivia Colman), l’attore (Josh O’Connor), l’attrice non protagonista (Gillian Anderson), l’attore non protagonista (Tobias Menzies), la scrittura ( Peter Morgan) e la regia (Jessica Hobbs).

Jason Sudeikis vince l’Emmy per “Ted Lasso” e dichiara:
“Questo spettacolo parla di mentori, insegnanti e compagni di squadra”.
Grazie a “The Crown” e “Gambit”,Netflix ha vinto più Emmy di qualsiasi altra rete o piattaforma per la prima volta in assoluto, con 44 premi totali.
“Hacks”, nel frattempo, ha vinto diversi importanti premi comici.
Jean Smart ha guadagnato il quarto Emmy della sua carriera per il ruolo della comica Deborah Vance, e lo spettacolo HBO Max ha conquistato la sceneggiatura e la regia per un serial comico. HBO e HBO Max hanno vinto 19 premi in totale.
Dopo essere stati ‘virtuali’ nel 2020, gli Emmy si sono tenuti di persona quest’anno.
La TV Academy ha limitato la cerimonia a circa 600 partecipanti, a causa delle linee guida in materia di salute e sicurezza.
L’evento è stato anche spostato all’aperto nell’Event Deck di L.A. Live al Microsoft Theater e il media center è stato sostituito da una controparte virtuale.

“The Crown” di Netflix e “The Mandalorian” di Disney Plus hanno guidato le nomination con 24 ciascuno, fino a notte fonda, seguiti da “Wanda Vision” di Marvel e Disney Plus con 23 e “TheHandmaid’sTale” di Hulu con 21. HBO e HBO Max ha superato reti e streamer con 130 nomination totali, seguito a ruota da Netflix con 129.
