DGA Awards 2025: tutti i premi
Sean Baker ha vinto il premio principale per il miglior Film Drammatico ai 77° DGA Awards con il suo film Anora I prestigiosi premi sono assegnati annualmente dalla Directors Guild of America, sindacato che rappresenta i registi statunitensi. Oltre ad essere uno dei più prestigiosi premi per i registi, è considerato come il più attendibile anticipatore della vittoria al premio Oscar.
Questo consolidato successo lo rende uno dei favoriti per il premio di miglior regista agli Oscar del 2 marzo. Ha battuto altri candidati come Jacques Audiard, Edward Berger, Brady Corbet e James Mangold. Baker aveva già vinto il premio come miglior film ai Critics Choice Awards.
RaMell Ross ha vinto il premio Michael Apted per il miglior debutto come regista con Nickel Boys.

Storicamente, i premi DGA sono un forte indicatore di successo agli Oscar, con la premiazione di registi che hanno poi vinto l’Oscar nel 68% dei casi. L’anno scorso, Christopher Nolan aveva ricevuto lo stesso premio per Oppenheimer, vincendo poi anche l’Oscar.
DGA Awards 2025 i premi
Per quanto riguarda la televisione, il primo premio della serata è andato a Frederick E.O. Toye per l’episodio Crimson Sky di Shōgun nella categoria Serie Drammatica. Nel cinema per la televisione, il premio è stato vinto da Steven Zaillian per Ripley di Netflix. Lucia Aniello ha vinto il premio per la Serie Comica con Hacks.
Il presidente della DGA, Lesli Linka Glatter, ha aperto la cerimonia chiedendo ai registi di fare tutto il possibile per riportare la produzione a Los Angeles dopo i devastanti incendi. Ha poi raccontato il dolore per aver perso la propria casa e la speranza che il futuro sia nei registi presenti nella sala.
Judd Apatow ha presentato la serata per la sesta volta.
Michelle Yeoh ha consegnato il premio alla carriera a Ang Lee, che ha sperato che la sua carriera fosse come una scuola di cinema senza fine.
Infine, Mary Rae Thewlis e Thomas J. Whelan hanno ricevuto i premi Robert B. Aldrich e Frank Capra per il loro contributo all’industria.
