Emmy Awards 2024: tutte le nomination

L’attesa per i fan delle Serie tv è terminata: le nomination agli Emmy Awards 2024 sono arrivate con molte conferme e qualche sorpresa.

L’epopea di FX Shōgun è in testa con ben 25 nomination per la sua stagione inaugurale. La maggior parte dei protagonisti del dramma ambientato in Giappone è stata selezionata, compresi il protagonista Hiroyuki Sanada e l’attrice Anna Sawai.

Shōgun è seguita dalla sua compagna di rete The Bear che ha ottenuto 23 nomination per la sua seconda stagione. La serie è reduce dalla vittoria dell’ultima cerimonia degli Emmy, andata in scena lo scorso gennaio dopo essere stata rinviata a causa dello sciopero della SAG-AFTRA dello scorso autunno.

Dopo Shōgun e The Bear, in testa alle nomination c’è Only Murders in the Building che ha ottenuto 21 candidature con la sua ultima stagiona ricca di star, comprese le nomination per tutti e tre i suoi attori principali (Steve Martin, Martin Short e, per la prima volta, Selena Gomez) e per i grandi nomi aggiunti  Paul Rudd e Meryl Streep. La coppia di autori Benj Pasek e Justin Paul è stata nominata ancora una volta per le musiche originali e i testi Se vinceranno, Pasek e Paul entreranno nel «club dell’EGOT», di cui fanno parte le star dell’entertainment che hanno vinto tutti e quattro i premi più importanti dell’industria dello spettacolo: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar e Tony. I due hanno infatti già incassato sia un Tony che un Oscar nel 2017.

Quarta  è la bellissima True Detective: Night Country, che ha ottenuto 19 candidature, diventando il progetto più nominato nella categoria delle serie limitate o antologiche degli Emmy.

Altra conferma la nomination per Baby Reinder la miniserie già cult firmata Netflix che ha convinto pubblico e critica.

Diverse le sorprese, tra cui un risultato sorprendentemente buono per The Morning Show, successo di Apple TV+ che sembra aver conquistato l’Accademia televisiva, ottenendo lo stesso numero di nomination della serie Hacks della HBO, più apprezzata dalla critica. Un altro progetto  della HBO, The Curse – con Nathan Fielder e Emma Stone,  due volte vincitrice dell’Oscar come miglior attrice – è stato invece ignorato dall’Accademia televisiva, non ottenendo nemmeno una nomination. Attenzione anche alle serie della Apple Palm Royale e Lezioni di chimica, che non avevano convinto al loro debutto.
