Critics Choice Awards 2022: tutti i premi

La 27a edizione dei Critics Choice Awards 2022 ha  celebrato il meglio della televisione e del cinema.

Il sito

“The Power of the Dog”  di Jane Campion e “Ted Lasso”  hanno guidato i vincitori della serata con quattro trofei ciascuno. “Succession” ha portato a casa tre premi.

Presentata da Taye Diggs e Nicole Byer, la cerimonia del 2022 è stata trasmessa in diretta su CW e TBS, mentre la serata si è svolta con celebrazioni tenute sia a Los Angeles che a Londra, poiché la Critics ha voluto includere i candidati che hanno partecipato ai BAFTA.

BAFTA AWARDS 2022 vincitori e vinti

Dopo un week end di premi importanti ricevuti la Campion è salita sul palco per la prima volta per accettare il Critics per la miglior regia  abbracciando il collega  neozelandese Taika Waititi.

“È assolutamente incredibile essere qui stasera in mezzo a così tante donne incredibili”

ha iniziato la regista.

“The Power of the Dog” ha ottenuto un totale di quattro premi con una vittoria per la sceneggiatura adattata della Campion, la migliore fotografia (Ari Wagner) e il miglior film. La Campion è tornata sul palco per accettare l’ultimo premio della serata, insieme alle star Kirsten Dunst e Jesse Plemons, con il produttore Roger Frappier.

Critics Choice Awards 2022 dichiarazioni

“Ho ancora un po’ di disturbo da stress post-traumatico causato dai critici all’inizio della mia carriera… alcune ferite profonde, ma sono stata anche sostenuta da loro“, ha detto la Campion, concludendo il suo discorso con la nota.

Campion non è stata l’unica persona a sbalordirsi della presenza delle sorelle Williams. Quando la star di “King Richard” Will Smith è stato nominato miglior attore, ha indicato Venus e Serena Williams,la loro sorella e il produttore esecutivo del film, Isha Price, seduti al tavolo del film nella sala da ballo.

“Grazie per avermi affidato la vostra storia”, ha detto Smith al trio. “Quello che la vostra famiglia è stata in grado di fare ha ispirato tutti in questa stanza, tutti in questo paese e tutti in tutto il mondo. Siete tutti voi a definire il sogno americano”.

Ha anche dedicato il premio alla madre, Oracene Price, che per anni ha svolto un ruolo molto “tranquillo” nella storia della loro famiglia.

Venus e Serena Williams hanno consegnato il premio per la migliore serie drammatica, guadagnandosi la più grande standing ovation e il più grande applauso della serata.

Miglior attrice la sorprendente Jessica Chastain per The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

Succession della HBO ha vinto il premio serie  drammatica con i membri del cast Nicholas Braun, Brian Cox. Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong, J. Smith Cameron e il produttore esecutivo Scott Ferguson che hanno accettato il trofeo. Culkin vince come attore non protagonista in un premio drammatico, ammettendo che non si aspettava di vincere e non ha preparato un discorso.

I premi per la recitazione principale nella categoria dramma sono andati a Lee Jung-jae di “Squid Game” e alla star di “Yellowjackets” Melanie Lynskey, che hanno entrambi portato a casa il loro primo riconoscimento dal Critics Choice Assn.

I primi riconoscimenti della serata sono andati alle star di “The White Lotus” Murray Bartlett e Jennifer Coolidge.

Alan Kim di “Minari” ha premiato Jude Hill di “Belfast” con il premio come miglior giovane attore. Hill è andato a casa cone doppio vincitore con il suo papà cinematografico Jamie Dornan che si è unito a lui sul palco per accettare il premio come miglior ensemble di recitazione.

I due sono stati premiati per il loro lavoro nel film, che drammatizza l’infanzia del regista Kenneth Branagh, insieme a Ciaran Hinds e Caitríona Balfe (che hanno assistito alla cerimonia londinese), così come Judi Dench. “Belfast” ha guadagnato tre premi in totale, con la vittoria per la sceneggiatura originale di Branagh.

“Dune” ha anche vinto tre premi (scenografia, effetti visivi e miglior colonna sonora), mentre “Licorice Pizza” di Paul Thomas Anderson ha anche vinto il premio per la miglior commedia.

Troy Kotsur e Ariana DeBose hanno celebrato le loro vittorie dal Regno Unito, ottenendo i migliori trofei di attore e attrice non protagonista per “CODA” e “West Side Story”, mentre DeBose ha fatto piazza pulita dei premi precedenti con Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild e vittorie ai BAFTA.

Televisione

Dal punto di vista televisivo, la troupe di “Ted Lasso” aveva molte ragioni per brindare a Londra, dato che la commedia Apple TV plus ha spazzato via le loro categorie per il secondo anno consecutivo. Lo show ha vinto il premio per la migliore commedia, dopo che Brett Goldstein e Hannah Waddingham hanno ottenuto riconoscimenti consecutivi come attore e attrice non protagonista. (Il creatore e protagonista Jason Sudeikis ha vinto il trofeo del miglior attore comico ma non ha potuto partecipare alla cerimonia.)

Waddingham ha ricordato la crisi in Ucraina.

“Sarebbe negligente da parte nostra non concentrare l’attenzione sulla cosa più importante che sta accadendo nel mondo in questo momento”

ha detto emozionandosi. “I nostri bellissimi fratelli e sorelle, e per me, cosa più importante, i bambini in Ucraina che sono stati completamente decimati in questo momento da questo putrido e putrido torrente di abusi”.

Un  premio speciale della serata è andato a Halle Berry che ha ricevuto il See Her Award dalla candidata alla serie comica Issa Rae.

La star di “Dopesick” Michael Keaton (vincitore del miglior attore in una serie limitata o in un film per la televisione) ha scherzato sul bisogno di andare di nuovo in bagno, un cenno alla vittoria del SAG Award quando l’attore ha dovuto correre sul palco per ricevere il suo trofeo.

Keaton ha quindi offerto un tributo emotivo alle persone reali affette dalla dipendenza da oppioidi, in particolare quelle vicino a dove “Dopesick” è stato girato in Virginia.

Un altro momento di commozione è arrivato da Jean Smart, che è stata una doppia vincitrice, poiché “Mare of Easttown” è stata nominata miglior serie limitata e ha vinto il premio come attrice comica per “Hacks”.
